Don’t get too bored Sol

The best analogy I can think of for Sol Campbell signing a five year contract with Notts County is Shaq signing a 5 year deal with a high school basketball team. It’s really gotta get boring dunking over all those seventeen year olds.

I want to think Campbell joined the club because he wants to be a part of on of the greatest ascents to the Premier League of all time, but it will take too long, and he’s too old, so it’s hard not to think he just did it for the money.

He did after all appear in over 70 matches for England and play 32 matches in the Premier League last year. Those are not exactly numbers that would have you expecting him to drop three divisions seeking his next paycheck.
