<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">As a fan, the second option really is the only choice that doesn&#8217;t turn the season into 17 week&#8217;s of hating yourself and your life, so in other words &#8220;Go Favre!&#8221;</div>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow-x: hidden; overflow-y: hidden;">Regardless, I&#8217;m just glad there&#8217;s excitement around the Vikings heading in to the season, and you can expect I&#8217;ll be extemely excited for Monday Night Football on October 5th, when the Vikes welcome the Packers to the Metrodome.</div>

<div class="topsy_widget_data" style="float: right;margin-left: 0.75em"><script type="text/javascript" src="http://button.topsy.com/widget/retweet-big?url=http://www.joshcampoverde.com/2008/09/27/it-rained-on-our-division-title/"></script></div><p>Jack and I went to the Sox game last night, and we were both really stoked because it was our first Sox-Yankees game. Unfortunately it didn&#8217;t work out too well.</p>
<p>First, the start was delayed about an hour and a half. That was ok, Jack and I expected this and just chilled at the apartment until NESN said the game was gonna start, so we didn&#8217;t have to sit out in the cold.</p>
<p>So here&#8217;s the view from the seats we had</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/yeblind/2892657796/" title="Our Seats by yeblind, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3194/2892657796_e9c237f2d2.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Our Seats" /></a></p>
<p>Then just into the fifth inning, some serious rain started and we went into rain delay. When you&#8217;re down 12-5 at this point, you kinda cheering for the rain hoping they&#8217;ll call the game. That&#8217;s what we did.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/yeblind/2891818283/" title="Rain Delay by yeblind, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3016/2891818283_5fd119a016.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Rain Delay" /></a></p>
<p>Because the game had a delayed start there were a good number of people who just didn&#8217;t show up, during the rain delay even more people left and fenway got pretty empty.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.joshcampoverde.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/picture-31.png"><img src="http://www.joshcampoverde.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/picture-31.png" alt="" title="picture-31" width="500" height="220" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-326" /></a></p>
<p>Once the game restarted we upgraded. These seats were about ten rows back from the field, right next to the red sox on deck circle.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/yeblind/2891818429/" title="On Deck by yeblind, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3024/2891818429_56346cb214.jpg" width="375" height="500" alt="On Deck" /></a></p>
<p>Then the iPhone camera glitched. I&#8217;m pretty disappointed Apple hasn&#8217;t fixed this yet. It also still takes about 6 seconds for the iPhone camera to start up to a point where you can take a picture. That makes it really tough to get a quick picture, which hinders the benefits of having a super mobile camera built into your phone.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/yeblind/2891818533/" title="glitch by yeblind, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3286/2891818533_a3e2a5ecaf.jpg" width="375" height="500" alt="glitch" /></a></p>
<p>Eventually we re-upgraded and this time our seats were in the third row. It was pretty awesome, we didn&#8217;t manage to get a ball though. We got to see Jacoby a couple times, he&#8217;s pretty awesome.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/yeblind/2892658208/" title="On Deck by yeblind, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3180/2892658208_a616e0248e.jpg" width="375" height="500" alt="On Deck" /></a></p>

<p>The end of the game was a bit rough, but at least we scored a few runs. We&#8217;re pretty sure they scored those runs because Jack and I put on our rally caps for the bottom of the ninth.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.joshcampoverde.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/picture-4.png"><img src="http://www.joshcampoverde.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/picture-4.png" alt="" title="picture-4" width="500" height="244" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-328" /></a></p>
<p>Then after the game we met up with more friends</p>

So anyways some friends and I were talking about how a <a href="http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1925262/posts">UND player recently tripped the wisconsin mascot</a> at a game. I find this to be pretty funny as it wasn&#8217;t horribly vicious and the mascot wasn&#8217;t hurt. The player that did it was big <a href="http://www.fightingsioux.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=58685&amp;SPID=6405&amp;DB_OEM_ID=13500&amp;ATCLID=749602&amp;Q_SEASON=2007">joe finley</a>, who at 6&#8242; 7&#8243; is one scary dude to have skating at you. Anyways, the mascot tripping wasn&#8217;t really the highlight of the weekend. They resolved that issue with Finley having to send the mascot a written apology. Some of the other interesting moments from the North Dakota &#8211; Wisconsin rivalry weekend were caught on video though, and you can view them thanks to youtube.</p>
<p>a 5 on 5 brawl that resulted in all 10 players being sent off the ice:</p>

<p>and a throwback video of a ridiculously savage fight from back in the day:</p>
